Nine hundred and thirty nine,
The murder sat above the shrine,
Below the ceiling and on the tower,
Darkness flocked in the darkest hour.
Always six on the fortress ground,
But H5N1 makes its round.
So to the prison goes the raven,
The caged bird crows in London’s haven.
Let’s all pray it spares us too,
This pandemic of avian flu.
Freedom must be able to fly,
But it can’t if we all die.
