Just when I started to think of a title,
When I ask myself what this is about.
And I decided my day.
Today.
So this is about my day.
There was a tall man
And something like a carousel;
Orange and yellow.
Fresh fruit on the steps,
A great temple.
Then my heavy duvet
And seventy pounds of dog
Nestled to my side.
I was two hours
Past my workweek wake-up.
It’s always nice to see that
Without a panic in your gut
And I soaked up the moment;
No longer tired but
Not fully involved.
I went to put in some extra hours,
Anyhow.
It’s always nice to sit
At your desk with nothing else.
I enjoy my job
And the work
But little got done today.
Then it was lunch with blue eyes
Tucked under gothic-black hair.
It’s always nice to be
Near you, my another love-of-my-life.
It’s a character flaw,
I fall in love with every woman I meet.
And my final feast
Celebrated my father’s retirement.
It’s always great to sit
With family
And always nicer to do so
In the finest restaurant in town.
We took pictures.
