Through tranquil tides
and dawn's vagrant stars, I watched and sang silently -
a love song. Murmuring warm against the cold.
But on broken sand, stocks the onus sire –
bearing the tapped and hardened tears of knave myrrh.
Oh, if I could wash away
the World. Oh, if I could welcome eternity -
but bound between the breakers;
Poseidon in a cup.
Come. Come swim in me, my mermaid.
Mon amour. La mer.
Escape in me.
